The Daan Beach in Taichung City as the water has been found to have high levels of colony forming units (CFU) of colon bacillus. The Daan beach has such a high density of colony forming units (CFU) is the outlet of both the Daan River and Dachia River, if swimmers drink the sea water by accident, their intestines could get infected and the wounds on their bodies may take a long time to heal. Monitor area from nine monitoring stations have one river, two drainage systems, one beach, and added the one river ever since October. The all monitoring project by the end of December had completed the work, also provided analytical data are to be used at evaluate of river pollution index (RPI), water quality index (WQI), colony forming units (CFU) of colon bacillus, and heavy metal pollution.
